Photographer Michael Lange just released his latest artist book. As he puts it himself: “It’s difficult to put into words how incredibly amazing it is to see years of work on a project falling totally into place in a publication. Making a book is a wonderful yet exhausting process of endless decisions about the concept, editing, design, fonts, colors, papers, binding and endless more details that seem unimportant but can make or break a book at the end. I am super happy with the innovative, powerful and subtle design of Sybren Kuiper, the printing of Kettler in Hamm and the endless energy of Wytze Fopma which he put into the magical binding.”
LA Drive-By is a hand-bound artist book. It displays the photos at up to eight times of the original size page – leaving the impression of viewing posters in a photo book. First edition of only 500 copies each book is numbered and signed by the artist.
